Create a rough-surface chalk effect

1. On the workspace or in the picture list, select the objects or grouped objects you want to modify.
   
   
2. On the Effects menu, click Designer Effects.
   
   
3. In the gallery, click Colored Pencil.
   
   
4. At the top of the workpane, click Settings (Colored Pencil), and then enter these values:
   • Transparency: 0%
     
     
   • Pencil width: 2
     
     
   • Stroke pressure: 14
     
     
   • Paper brightness: 50
5. At the top of the workpane, click Effect, and then click Lock Effect.
   
   
6. In the gallery, click Texturizer, and then do the following:
   • At the top of the workpane, click Texture (Texturizer).
     
     
   • In the Texture gallery, click Sandstone.

Tip   You can vary your results by adjusting the settings for the Colored Pencil and Texturizer effects.
